熊本県は九州中部にある県で、多くの活火山、急流の川、温泉地があります。県庁所在地の熊本市には、17 世紀に建てられた熊本城があります。17 世紀にさかのぼる他の史跡には、伝統的な日本庭園で知られる水前寺や旧武家屋敷の細川邸があります。

Kumamoto Prefecture is located in central Kyushu and is home to many active volcanoes, fast-flowing rivers, and hot spring resorts. The prefectural capital, Kumamoto City, is home to Kumamoto Castle, which was built in the 17th century. Other historical sites dating back to the 17th century include Suizenji Garden, known for its traditional Japanese garden, and the Hosokawa Mansion, a former samurai residence.

九州の中央に位置する熊本県は、世界的に有名なカルデラを有する阿蘇山や、 美しい島々からなる天草などがあり、 自然の魅力にあふれている。 豊かな自然は草千里ヶ浜 、 天草五橋などの美しい景勝地とともに、 デコポン、スイカ、あか牛、馬刺し、 球磨焼酎など数々のおいしい名産品を生み出す。 「火の国」のイメージでも知られるが、 水資源も豊富で、県内に1000ヵ所以上の湧水地を有する 「水の国」 でもある。 2016年の熊本地震、2020年の豪雨災害からの復興が進んでいる。

Kumamoto Prefecture, located in the center of Kyushu, is filled with natural beauty, including the globally famous Mount Aso with its caldera, and Amakusa, a collection of beautiful islands. The rich natural surroundings produce many delicious specialty products, such as Dekopon oranges, watermelons, Akagyu beef, Basashi (horse meat sashimi), and Kumamoto's famous shochu. In addition to beautiful scenic spots like the grass-covered Sandanbeki cliffs and Amakusa Gokyo bridges, Kumamoto is also known as the "Land of Fire" due to its association with volcanoes. However, with over 1000 springs and water sources throughout the prefecture, it is also known as the "Land of Water." Despite the devastation caused by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake and the 2020 heavy rains and flooding, the recovery efforts are continuing.
