禁教期に信仰を保ち続けた潜伏キリシタンの歴史と生活を紹介。 背中に十字架が描かれたマリア観音や復元された祈りのための隠れ部屋など、 胸を打つ展示が多い。天草下島西側の海岸沿いを走る国道389号線は、 天草灘に沈む美しい夕陽が見られるサンセットラインと呼ばれるドライブルート。 道中にある十三仏公園は、 妙見浦から白鶴浜海水浴場までを一望できる夕日の名所として人気。

Amakusa Rosario Museum introduces the history and life of hidden Christians who continued to practice their faith during the period of prohibition. The exhibits are impressive, including a statue of Maria Kannon with a cross on her back, and a restored hidden room for prayer. Route 389, which runs along the coast of the western side of Amakusa Shimoshima Island, is known as the Sunset Line, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset sinking into the Amakusa sea during a scenic drive. Along the way, the Thirteen Buddhas Park is a popular spot to view the sunset, as it offers a panoramic view of Myoken Bay to Shiratorihama Beach.
