クルーズ船の受入施設として整備されたくまモンパーク八代には全長6mのビッグくまモンをはじめ、 54体が扇状にずらりと並ぶくまモン合唱隊などがあり、国際クルーズ船の受入れ拠点として、国、熊本県、ロイヤルカリビアン社の三社の官民連携により整備され、2020年3月に完成しました。世界最大級（22万トン級）のクルーズ船の受入れを想定しています。ターミナルの周りには、乗客船や観光客のおもてなしの場、また、地域住民の憩いの場として、くまモンをテーマとした特色ある公園を併設しています。
Kumamon Park Yatsushiro, developed as a reception facility for cruise ships, features a 6-meter-tall Big Kumamon and a choir of 54 Kumamon lined up in a fan shape. It was developed through the collaboration of the national government, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Royal Caribbean Cruises to serve as an international cruise ship reception base and was completed in March 2020. It is designed to accommodate the world's largest cruise ships (up to 220,000 tons). The area around the terminal also includes a unique park featuring Kumamon as a theme, serving as a place of hospitality for passengers and tourists as well as a place of relaxation for local residents.
