東京駅丸の内駅舎は、大正3(1914)年12月に開業した日本の玄関口であり、 国指定重要文化財。 “近代建築の父”といわれる辰野金吾が設計を担当。 平成24(2012)年には創建当時の姿に復原された。 高さ30mを超える南北ふたつのドーム内を彩る美しいレリーフは必見。
The Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building, which opened in December 1914 during the third year of the Taisho era, is Japan's gateway and a designated Important Cultural Property. It was designed by "the father of modern architecture," Kingo Tatsuno. In 2012, the building was restored to its original appearance. The beautiful reliefs inside the two north and south domes, which stand over 30 meters high, are a must-see.
