小石川後楽園は、江戸時代初期、寛永6(1629)年に水戸徳川家の初代藩主である頼房が江戸の中屋敷に造った庭園。2代目藩主の光圀の時代に完成した。かつて舟遊びに使われたという池を中心とした回遊式築山泉水庭園で、 日本と中国の名所に見立てた見事な眺めが堪能できる。 夏は660株のハナ

Koishikawa Korakuen is a garden created by Yorifusa, the first lord of the Mito Tokugawa family, in his Edo residence in 1629 during the early Edo period. It was completed during the reign of his successor, Mitsukuni. The garden is a circuit-style strolling garden centered around a pond that was once used for boating. It offers stunning views that are designed to resemble famous sights from Japan and China. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of 660 irises in the summer and colorful autumn leaves of the Japanese maple trees in the fall.
