標高957mの大行寺山の山頂に鎮座する釈迦院へと続く表参道の階段が、 3333段を数える日本一の石段だ。 長い石段の途中には、トイレや休憩所なども設けられている。日本一の石段から北へ10kmほどの所にある二俣橋は、 橋のアーチのシルエットが光のハート型を作る、 恋人たちの聖地として人気のスポット。 二股に架かる重厚な石橋も趣がある。ハートができるのは10~2月の11:30-12:00。
The staircase leading to Shakain Temple, located at the summit of Mount Daikoji at an altitude of 957 meters, is known as Japan's longest stone staircase with 3,333 steps. Along the lengthy staircase, there are restrooms and rest areas for visitors. About 10 kilometers north of this staircase is the Futamata Bridge, a popular spot known as a lover's sanctuary, where the silhouette of the bridge arch creates a heart-shaped image of light. The bridge is also quite impressive due to its solid stone construction. The heart-shaped image can be seen from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm between October and February.
