横浜中華街は、およそ200m四方ほどの範囲に、 中華レストランや中国雑貨の店など600店舗以上がひしめく。 風水思想に基づいて建てられた町の入口を示す極彩色の門(牌楼) や、 カラフルな看板、 中国寺院など、 実際に中国に来たような異国情緒を味わえる。 豚まんや中華菓子などのテイクアウトグルメも多く、 最近は占いの町としても人気。みなとみらいと桜木町駅をはさんだ反対側は、 対極をなす雰囲気の野毛 (のげ) と呼ばれる昔ながらの盛り場地帯。 気取らない居酒屋や小さなバー、ジャズクラブなどがあり、昭和にタイムスリップしたかのよう。
Yokohama Chinatown is an area of approximately 200 square meters where more than 600 shops, including Chinese restaurants and stores selling Chinese goods, are crowded together. At the entrance to the town, there is a brightly colored gate (paifang) built according to the principles of feng shui, as well as colorful signs and Chinese temples, providing visitors with an exotic atmosphere that feels as if they have actually come to China. There are also many take-out gourmet options, such as pork buns and Chinese sweets, and in recent years it has become a popular destination for fortune telling.

China Town 80 (Yokohama Chinatown Tourist Information Center) is located at Yamashita-cho 80, Yokohama City, in the Yokohama Deo Tower on the first floor (near the Choyo-mon Gate). Their phone number is 045-681-6022, and they are open every day from 10:00 to 19:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before national holidays.
