岩屋寺 | Iwayaji Temple

岩屋寺は、四国八十八ヶ所霊場第45番札所に定められた、 標高700mの山岳霊場。 大正時代に建立した大師堂は、 伝統的寺院建築を基調としながら西洋風の要素を多数取り入れた近代和風建築の代表だ。

Iwayaji Temple is a mountainous sacred place located at an elevation of 700 meters and designated as the 45th temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, which includes 88 temples. The Daishido Hall, built in the Taisho era, is a representative example of modern Japanese-style architecture that incorporates numerous Western-style elements while retaining traditional temple construction principles.
