南蔵院は、篠栗四国八十八箇所霊場の総本寺で、 高野山真言宗の別格本山でもある。 釈迦涅槃像が完成した年に住職が宝くじで1等前後賞に当選し、 その御利益だと話題になった。
Nanzoin is the head temple of the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage in Sasaguri and also a special temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect. The temple gained notoriety when its chief priest won the first and second prizes in the national lottery in the year the statue of Buddha's Nirvana was completed, and it was attributed to the statue's blessing.
