坂本八幡宮は、大宰府の長官を務めていた大友旅人が730年正月に梅花の宴を開いた邸宅跡と伝えられている神社。このとき詠まれた和歌32首の序文に書かれた「初春令月、気淑風和」から元号令和が採用された。
Sakamoto Hachiman-gu shrine is said to be located at the site of the residence where Ootomo Tabito, who served as the governor of Dazaifu, held a plum blossom banquet in January of 730. The era name "Reiwa" was adopted from the preface to the 32 waka poems composed at that time, which includes the phrase "Hatsuharu reigetsu, kei shuku fuwa".
